G.B.O. week is more than just a golf event.  The tournament kicks off on wednesday when our sponsors team up with a top professional to compete in our Pro-Am tournament.  After the Pro-Am is the exciting Long Drive Competition.  This is always a fan favorite.  Starting Thursday the tournament field hits the course.  Whether you are a player, sponsor or golf enthusiast...be sure not to miss this years Greater Bangor Open Golf Tournament!

Welcome to the Greater Bangor Open Golf Tournament!  The G.B.O. is a 4-Day event held at Bangor Municipal Golf Course in Bangor, Maine.  The field is comprised of Professional Golfers from all over the United States and many countries throughout the world.  Many notable Touring Professionals, such as Sean O'Hair, Len Mattice, and Lanny Wadkins have competed in the 42 year old tournament.  Each year the GBO attracts a higher caliber of players all competing for the $11,000.00 first prize and the right to call themselves a Bangor Open Champion!
